OSER’s Operational Standards
OLDSCHOOL EXOTICS & REPTILES LLC (OSER) is a Florida registered LLC and an FWC-licensed Class III wildlife exhibitor based in Williston, Florida. OSER provides founder-led mobile educational outreach at customer venues throughout Greater Central Florida.
State-issued authorizations include ESC Permit #891-008553 and Class III wildlife import permit IMP-III #818-003099.
The initial Florida launch includes Reptile, Cuddly Creatures, and Hybrid seminars featuring ESC-permitted reptile and small mammal ambassadors. Each animal’s internal program role and participation are guided by individual readiness, animal welfare, and venue conditions.
The earliest availability for Florida educational program scheduling is January 1, 2027.

Animal Participation
OSER Standard: Animals participate voluntarily and may decline engagement at any time. Scheduling and audience expectations do not override an animal’s willingness to participate.
Illustrative Comparison: An animal is scheduled to appear without reassessing its behavioral readiness that day.
Ambassador Suitability
OSER Standard: Candidates undergo a six-month internal certification process governed by OSER’s proprietary CSECM doctrine. Qualification depends on observed individual readiness and behavioral consistency. Evaluation continues after qualification.
Illustrative Comparison: Suitability is assumed from species, generalized temperament, or previous exposure without a structured assessment of the individual.
Handling & Engagement Limits
OSER Standard: Handling duration and proximity are adjusted in response to behavioral feedback within established exposure limits. Interaction can be shortened or stopped whenever readiness changes.
Illustrative Comparison: Interaction continues for a preset duration without adjustment when an animal’s behavioral indicators change.
Conditioning Philosophy
OSER Standard: Conditioning emphasizes predictability, choice, environmental consistency, and observed comfort. Animals retain opportunities to decline or disengage.
Illustrative Comparison: Completion of a planned exposure session takes priority over an animal’s opportunity to disengage.
Rest & Recovery
OSER Standard: Rest periods and non-participation are structured and respected. Readiness determines whether an animal returns to educational engagement.
Illustrative Comparison: Rest opportunities depend primarily on scheduling gaps rather than the individual’s observed needs.
Living Environments
OSER Standard: Animals are maintained in enriched, species-appropriate environments outside program participation, with access to suitable environmental conditions, cover, and retreat.
Illustrative Comparison: Housing decisions focus on portability or display convenience without equivalent attention to long-term habitat needs.
Welfare Monitoring
OSER Standard: Behavioral and environmental observations are recorded over time to guide care, participation, and operational decisions.
Illustrative Comparison: Welfare checks are limited to the period immediately before or after an event, without an ongoing record of individual changes.
Why This Matters
These standards are designed to support long-term behavioral stability, welfare continuity, and calm educational engagement.
OSER evaluates success through sustained care, voluntary participation, and consistent attention to each animal’s individual needs.
